The Digital Economy Empowers the High-quality Development of China’s Manufacturing Industry
摘要: 当今时代数字经济既可以引领经济高质量发展,又是推动制造业增效提质和转型升级的关键动能。本文使用2018—2022年中国制造业企业上市公司的数据,测算数字经济指数以及制造业高质量发展水平,构建面板模型实证检验数字经济是否可以促进制造业高质量发展,并通过替换被解释变量衡量方式和增加行业控制固定效应的方式进一步验证数字经济促进制造业高质量发展的可靠性。最终得出结论,数字经济可以明显促进制造业高质量发展。数字经济时代,我国政府应大力推动制造业数字化、网络化及智能化发展,促进全要素生产率提升,推动制造业质量变革、效率变革、动力变革,加快新型工业化进程,促进我国产业向全球价值链中高端迈进。
Abstract: In the contemporary era, the digital economy can lead the high-quality development of the economy, and at the same time, it is a key driving force to promote the efficiency and quality improvement, transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry. This paper uses the data of China’s listed manufacturing enterprises from 2018 to 2022 to measure the digital economy index and the high-quality development level of the manufacturing industry, constructs a panel model to empirically test whether the digital economy can promote the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, and further verifies the reliability of the digital economy in promoting the high-quality development of the manufacturing industry by replacing the measurement method of explanatory variables and increasing the fi xed eff ect of industry control. Finally, it is concluded that the digital economy can signifi cantly promote the highquality development of the manufacturing industry. To this end, in the era of digital economy, the Chinese government should vigorously promote the digital, networked and intelligent development of the manufacturing industry, boost the improvement of total factor productivity, advance the transformation of manufacturing quality, efficiency and power, accelerate the process of new industrialization, and elevate China’s industry to the middle and high end of the global value chain.
