Research on Export Competitiveness and Potential of China-ASEAN Digital Services Trade
摘要: 本文基于2005—2021年中国对东盟各国数字服务贸易进出口数据,测算中国数字服务贸易出口竞争力,并构建随机前沿引力模型,实证研究中国数字服务贸易出口效率及其影响因素。结果表明:中国数字服务贸易出口竞争力相对不足,中国对东盟数字服务贸易出口效率逐步提高,贸易潜力较大;贸易国经济规模扩大对中国数字服务贸易出口有利,而人口规模、地理距离及共同边界则阻碍了出口;物流水平、通信水平、研发投入占比、金融自由度及自由贸易协定等对出口效率提高产生了积极影响,而互联网发展水平、投资自由度等阻碍出口效率改善。因此,中国应从改善经贸条件、完善基础设施建设、调整出口结构等方面着手,提高与东盟贸易水平及能力。
Abstract: Based on the import and export data of China’s digital services trade with ASEAN countries from 2005 to 2021, the author measures the export competitiveness of China’s digital services trade and constructs a stochastic frontier gravity model to empirically study the export effi ciency of China’s digital services trade and its infl uencing factors. The results show that: China’s digital services trade exhibits a moderate level of export competitiveness, and yet, the export efficiency in trade with ASEAN countries shows a continuous uptrend, revealing substantial potential for trade growth; the economic expansion of trading countries is benefi cial to China’s exports in digital services trade, while population size, geographical distance and common borders hinder such export; logistics level, communication level, proportion of R&D investment, financial freedom and free trade agreements positively affect the improvement of export efficiency, while Internet development level and investment freedom appear to impede this effi ciency. Therefore, China should improve the level and capacity of its trade with ASEAN by improving economic and trade conditions, upgrading infrastructure and adjusting export structure.
