Development of Cross-border E-commerce in Xinjiang under the Belt and Road Initiative: Opportunities, Challenges, and Responses
摘要: 从中国对外开放的“末端”转变成向西开放的“前沿”,新疆的变化是中国高水平开放的缩影。随着“一带一路”倡议的持续深入推进,新疆依托国际物流通道“东联西出”的优势,将乌鲁木齐国际陆港区中欧铁路运输、阿拉山口“公路联运”、霍尔果斯集装箱吊装、喀什货运等多种运输方式有机结合,为跨境电商运输提供良好条件。目前,新疆作为丝绸之路经济带的核心区,正积极服务和融入新发展格局,利用跨境电商在更大范围、更宽领域、更深层次为新疆打造开放型经济注入新活力。
Abstract: The transformation from the “end” of China’s opening-up to the "frontier" of opening up to the west signifi es Xinjiang’s changes as a microcosm of China's high-level opening-up. With the continuous and in-depth promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative, relying on the advantage of the international logistics channel of “connecting the east with the west”, Xinjiang will organically combine various transportation modes such as the China-Europe railway transportation in Urumqi International Inland Port Area, the “highway combined transportation” in Alashankou, container hoisting in Khorgos, and Kashgar freight transportation, to provide good conditions for cross-border e-commerce transportation. At present, as the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, Xinjiang is actively serving and integrating into the new development pattern and utilizing cross-border e-commerce to inject new vitality into Xinjiang’s open economy in a larger range, wider fi eld, and deeper level.
