Empirical Analysis of How Digital Trade Impacts Export Technical Complexity
摘要: 近年来,数字贸易已成为国际贸易的新形态,为全球经济和国际贸易注入新的活力,各国开始有针对性地优化本土出口产品及贸易结构,并大力倡导企业提高产品出口技术复杂度。本文运用固定效应模型进行回归,实证结果表明:数字贸易发展水平每提升一个标准差,会导致该地区出口技术复杂度0.323%的提高,且通过1%水平的显著性检验。这说明数字贸易发展水平会显著促进出口技术复杂度的提高,在进行一系列稳健性检验后,该结论依然成立。同时,采用中介效应检验中的Sobel检验法进行实证分析,证明了科技创新在数字贸易对出口技术复杂度之间存在部分中介作用。
Abstract: In recent years, digital trade has become a new form of international trade, injecting new vitality into the global economy and international trade. Countries have begun to optimize the structure of local export products and trade, and vigorously advocate enterprises to improve the technical complexity of product export. In this article, the fi xed eff ect model is used for regression. The empirical results show that each standard deviation increase in the level of digital trade development will lead to an increase of 0.323% in the technical complexity of exports in the region, and pass the signifi cance test of 1% level. This shows that the development level of digital trade will signifi cantly promote the improvement of export technology complexity, and this conclusion is still valid after a series of robustness tests. At the same time, the Sobel Test Method in the mediating eff ect test is used for empirical analysis, which proves that technological innovation has a partial mediating eff ect between digital trade and export technological sophistication.
