国际贸易对城乡收入不平等的影响——基于中国地级市面板数据的分析

摘要: 国际贸易对推动中国经济发展起到了重要作用，随之而来的城乡收入差距扩大也成为中国社会的热点问题之一。文章采用2008—2020年中国208个城市的面板数据，运用固定效应模型，考察了对外贸易依存度对城乡居民收入差距的影响。结果表明，对外贸易依存度与城乡居民收入差距呈正相关关系，且这一结果表现出很强的稳健性。然而，由于地理位置和经济发展水平等因素的差异，两者之间的关系在中国不同区域有所不同。此外，通过整合实证部分得到的各种回归结果，文章还提出了针对国际贸易与收入不平等的政策建议，以供参考。

Abstract: International trade has played a crucial role in promoting China’s economic development. However, the consequent widening of the urban-rural income gap has become one of the hot issues in Chinese society. This paper uses the panel data of 208 Chinese cities from 2008 to 2020 and employs the fi xed eff ects model to examine the impact of trade dependency on the income gap between urban and rural residents. The results show that trade dependency is positively correlated with the income disparity between urban and rural residents, and this fi nding is highly robust. Nevertheless, due to differences in geographical location and economic development levels, this impact varies across diff erent regions in China. This paper also integrates various regression results obtained from the empirical analysis to propose policy recommendations addressing international trade and income inequality.
