“木活字印刷”课程开设的意义及思考

摘要: 印刷术是中国伟大的发明之一,为世界文明的发展起到了非常重要的作用,随着人类文明进程的发展,印刷术也在不断发生着演进和革新,从"木活字印刷"到古登堡的"铅活字印刷",再到现代"激光照排"。从热排到冷排的技术革命,印刷术在不断地适应人类文明发展的需要当中相继转变,而人类文明也在印刷术的革新过程当中渐渐改变着自身物质和精神的轨迹,这种基于传统规范当中的实验性延展是一个非常值得梳理的文化现象。由此出发,本文以四川美术学院的"木活字印刷"课程为实践参照,在教与学的过程中,循迹索源,因势利导,深层次探讨"木活字印刷术"在美术学院教学中存在的意义以及衍生思考。

Abstract: Typography is one of the great inventions of China, which has played an important role in the development of world civilization. In the progress of human civilization,typography has been keeping evolving and innovating, from "wooden movable type", from Gutenberg’s "lead typography", to modern "laser phototypesetting". Typography has kept transforming in accordance with the need of the development of human civilization, from the technological revolution of lead movable typesetting to phototypesetting. Human civilization is also gradually changing its material and spiritual trajectory in the process of innovation of printing. This experimental extension based on traditional norms is a cultural phenomenon that is worth sorting out. This article also starts from this, taking the "Wooden Movable Type "course of the Sichuan Fine Arts Institute as a practical reference. In the process of teaching and learning, we should trace the source and give judicious guidance according to circumstances,and then discuss the meaning and derivative thinking of "Wooden Movable Type "in art academies.
