Abstract: The integration of social media and the digital economy is a significant driving force behind the innovation of business models today. This paper aims to analyze the impact of this integration on business models and explore the opportunities and challenges it brings. Firstly, it outlines the definitions and characteristics of social media and the digital economy, as well as the unique value generated by their integration. Secondly, through case studies, it reveals typical business models resulting from the integration of social media and the digital economy, and evaluates their success factors and effectiveness. Subsequently, it discusses the influence and driving role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and blockchain on the business models resulting from this integration. Finally, it looks ahead to future development trends and the challenges faced, proposing strategies to promote innovation and adapt to changes. The research in this paper can provide insights for businesses and managers, helping them seize the opportunities brought by the integration of social media and the digital economy, and gain competitive advantages in the new era through innovative business models.
