一个社会学家的中国近代转型之思 ——评方慧容《社会、经济与政治之间：早期社会学者的徘徊和探索》

摘要: 方慧容《社会、经济与政治之间：早期社会学者的徘徊和探索》一书，以理论框架“社会、经济与政治之间”，探讨吴景超1919-1948年间不同阶段的中国近代转型方案。本文认为该书具备三方面学术贡献：其一，较为完整地勾勒出民国时期吴景超思想和实践的基本面貌；其二，有效消解了此前社会学者和历史学者因分科治学造成的研究盲区；其三，借吴景超探讨了中国近代转型一系列基本问题，尤其个性与社会性、物质生活和精神生活之间的关系。同时，本文也试图对该书在材料使用、思想分析角度、全书收束等三方面提出商榷，以供读者和作者参考批评。

Abstract: Fang Huirong's Between Society, Economy and Politics: The Wandering and Exploration of Early Sociologists explores Wu Jingchao's program of China's modern transformation at different stages during the period of 1919-1948 within the theoretical framework of “between society, economy and politics”. This paper argues that the book makes three academic contributions: firstly, it outlines the basic outlook of Wu Jingchao's thought and practice in the Republican period in a more complete way; secondly, it effectively dissolves the blind spot caused by the previous separation of sociological and historical scholars; thirdly, it explores a series of basic issues of China's modern transformation through Wu Jingchao, especially the relationship between individuality and sociability, and between physical life and spiritual life. At the same time, this paper also tries to question the book in the use of materials, the angle of thought and analysis, and the closing of the book for the readers and authors to refer to the criticism.
