海外汉学刊物与中国现代学术嬗变——以《通报》（T’oung Pao）为例

摘要: 《通报》创刊于1890年，是欧洲首份国际汉学专业学术刊物，亦是当代国际汉学的权威刊物，堪称百年汉学史的缩影。早在民国时期，海外汉学已受国人瞩目，被推许为“东西文化融合之先声”。而作为重要汉学刊物，《通报》借由作品译介、名家推荐与学人交往等途径，也得到中国学者措意与使用，渗入中国现代学术嬗变历程，其中尤以中外交通史研究得益于《通报》之处甚多，冯承钧、张星烺、向达等人贡献尤著。今人了解《通报》，既能掌握海外汉学的学术传统、经典范式与时代趋势，亦可更加全面深入地参详中国现当代学术史，直探其跨文化基底与时代精神，从而为中国学术的当代发展与未来筹划提供宝贵经验。

Abstract: T’oung Pao, founded in 1890, is the first international academic journal specializing in Sinology in Europe, and also the authoritative journal of contemporary international Sinology, which can be regarded as the epitome of the history of Sinology in the past hundred years. As early as in the Republic of China, the international Sinology had already attracted the academic attention, and was regarded as ‘the forerunner of the fusion between Eastern and Western cultures’. As an important journal on Sinology, T’oung Pao was also used by Chinese scholars through translation and introduction, recommendation from famous scholars, and interaction among Chinese scholars and editors of T’oung Pao, infiltrating into the transformation of modern Chinese academic studies. During this process, the study of the history of Sino-foreign relations benefited a lot from T’oung Pao in various ways, and Feng Chengjun, Zhang Xinglang and Xiang Da had made particularly notable contributions in this field. By studying T’oung Pao, we can comprehend the academic traditions, classical paradigms and different trends of international Sinology, and also achieve a more comprehensive and in-depth understanding of modern and contemporary Chinese academic studies and their cross-cultural foundation and the spirit of the times, thus providing valuable experience for contemporary Chinese academic studies and its future development.
