Elucidation and Implications of the Spirit of Ancient Chinese Educators
摘要: 中国古代涌现出了孔子、朱熹等贡献卓著、名垂青史的众多教育家,凝聚在他们的教育思想和教育实践之中的博大胸襟、高风亮节、严谨态度为习近平总书记关于教育家精神的重要论述提供了丰厚的历史依据。古代教育家普遍拥有以教育为志趣、藉传道达治平的理想信念,言为士则、行为世范的道德修养,顺性善喻、尽人之材的教育智慧,学而不厌、诲人不倦的躬耕态度,视童蒙如己子、以启迪为家事的仁爱之心,用夏变夷、广兴文教的弘道追求。向先贤学习,当代教师应该坚定理想信念,锤炼道德情操,提升育人智慧,树立躬耕态度,厚植仁爱之心,赓续弘道追求。
Abstract: Numerous renowned educators, including Confucius and Zhu Xi, emerged in ancient China, making remarkable contributions that have been widely recognized throughout history. The expansive mindset, elevated moral integrity, and rigorous approach embodied in their educational philosophies and practices serve as a profound historical foundation for General Secretary Xi Jinping’s significant discourse on the spirit of educators.Ancient educators commonly held ideals and beliefs centered around education as their ultimate goal, seeking to achieve harmony through imparting knowledge. They emphasized moral cultivation by adhering to principles when engaging in scholarly discussions and setting an example for society. Their educational wisdom involved aligning with nature while utilizing external resources effectively. They exhibited an unwavering commitment to learning and teaching tirelessly. Furthermore, they demonstrated love towards students akin to their own children while enlightening them like family members. Lastly, they pursued a broad path encompassing cultural diversity by drawing inspiration from seasonal changes.To emulate these revered sages, contemporary teachers should strengthen their own ideals and beliefs while nurturing their moral sentiments. It is crucial to enhance wisdom through continuous learning and adopt a self-cultivation attitude that fosters benevolence within oneself. By persistently pursuing excellence in education, teachers can contribute towards the noble path set forth by our ancestors.
